February Wrap Up!

Happy Monday Bookish People! I hope you’re all having a lovely day today. It is the end of February, for being a short month a lot has happened. I won’t share all the details but I will say that because of everything that has happened this month, my reading took a big dip around halfway through the month. Which is a shame because I am excited for a lot of books so hopefully I can get back to reading soon. In saying this, the first half of the month was great – I made progress on my goals for the year of enjoying the books I am reading and also reading down my series’.

How has your reading been in February?

Let’s get onto the books I managed to read this month!

From my TBR:

  • As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson – I did read this! Finally, after putting off this final book in the series for so long I did read it and I enjoyed it, though I was shocked by how dark it was for a YA book.
  • A Death in Diamonds by S J Bennett – I did read this which brings me up to date with the books that I own in this series, I believe there is one more after this that is out already but I don’t yet own it. This was one of my favourites from this series so far.
  • Throne of Nightmares by Kerri Maniscalco – One of my most anticipated books of 2026, I am currently reading and loving this book. Prince Sloth! I have been waiting forever for Sloth’s book. His castle is literally one massive library.
  • Murder on Platform Four by Irina Shapiro – Book five in the Tate and Bell investigation series. I did read this.
  • Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo – another series complete because I did read this. This one I was also putting off, I didn’t love the first book in the series but I did enjoy siege and storm and I liked this one overall.
  • The Midnight Carousel – Oof! I did technically read this… I read 100 pages or so before I ended up DNF’ing it. It was just boring and there were time skips that didn’t make sense, it just was not for me.

Outside of my TBR I read: Gallant by V E Schwaab, A Picture of Murder by T E Kinsey and the fourth and fifth installments in the Pages and Co series by Anna James.

This means, I read all six books on my February TBR (yay!) and I read another four books outside of it which gives me 10 books overall for the month. That is actually a lot more than I thought it would be because of how my life has been this month but I am very happy with that. Currently, my favourite read this month is Gallant by V E Schwaab but… this could change as I am not very far into Throne of Nightmares yet.

What is your favourite read of February?

Monthly Wrap Ups

February Wrap Up!

Happy Friday bookish people! I hope you’re all having a good day today.

Today I am bringing you the wrap up for my February reading, which, spoiler alert, did not go well.

I did a lot in February. I went to a Nightcourt Ball! based on the ACOTAR books and it was a very cool experience, I got to dress up like a fantasy princess and dance for a night and they had people dressed up as the characters from the books and even a live singer, who was excellent. It was tiring but fun.
Then next up in February, I went to Disneyland Paris with my Mum and my sister and my Sister’s family. This was also great but it didn’t give me much time for reading unfortunately.

So, onto what I read this month. I’ll save the list this month I had five books on my February TBR and I only read one (which I literally finished this morning.)

So, in February I read The Queen of Poisons by Robert Thorogood, the third book in the Marlow Murder Club series. I have loved the previous two books in the series but for me this third one fell a bit flat and well, it took me a month to finish it. I’ll give my thoughts in a review later this month but for now that’s it for this post, I didn’t manage to read anything else in February. All I hope is that I get some good books read in March.

How was your reading in February? What was your favourite book that you have read recently?

Monthly Wrap Ups

February Wrap Up!

Happy Tuesday bookish people! It is already the end of February so of course it is time to do this month’s wrap up.

I had a much better reading month than in January, I have been finding that I am enjoying it more. Whether that is because of the books I have been reading or just because February was a relaxed month (in comparison to January that is).

So, onto the wrap up!

Sense and Second Degree Murder by Tirzah Price – I did not read this one – it is one of those books where I really want to read it too much that I am scared to read it

Murder at the house on the hill by Victoria Walters – I did not read this book

Winterhouse by Ben Guterson – I did not read this

The Accidental Medium by Tracy Whitwell – I did read this well, currently I am reading this but it will be finished by the end of the month

Everyone in my family has killed someone by Benjamin Stevenson – I did not read this

Mysteries of Thorn Manor by Margaret Rogerson – I did read this and spoiler alert, LOVED it.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor – I did not read this

Murder Most Unladylike by Robin Stevens – I did read this

The Stolen Heir by Holly Black – I did not read this

Book Lovers by Emily Henry – I did not read this

The Agency of Scandal by Laura Wood – I did not read this

Murder on the Christmas Express by Alexandra Benedict – I did not read this

The very secret society of irregular witches – I did read this (my favourite book this month)

Last Chance Books by Kelsey Rodkey – I did not read this

So, from my TBR I read 4 books and I also read A Study In Charlotte by Brittany Cavalaro which means I read five books this month!

What did you all read in February, did you enjoy them?

February Wrap-Up

Happy Monday bookish people! Today I am excited to bring you my February Wrap-up. Well, I say excited – I barely read anything so not so excited about that but I accomplished a lot during February.

First of all, I handed in my first assignment for my PhD and that has taken a lot of stress away from me, I also completed the redecoration of my new room including buying seven bookcases and putting my books on them (that was a great day!). Also, I went through the next stage in the process of getting a guide dog which is both terrifying and exciting.

So, usually I would list the books I was supposed to read this month and say whether I did or not, well – I only read two books this month so I won’t be listing them I will just put them here instead.

I read:

Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano

Review to come shortly!

and…

The Maid by Nita Prose

So that’s what I read this month, it wasn’t a lot but considering how busy I was I am okay with the little that I managed to read, also I plan on reading Newt’s Emerald by Garth Nix tonight which was on my February TBR so that might mean I read three books..

That’s it for this post, I hope you all enjoyed it! Tomorrow I will be posting my March TBR so if you’re interested in seeing what I will be reading make sure to check that out.
